ʻĀhuimanu, the “cluster of birds,” spreads across the foot of the Koʻolau where the windward cliffs rise almost straight up behind the houses. Rain keeps the valley green year-round, and the community has deep roots – a school founded here in 1846 grew into Honolulu’s Saint Louis School. For the home parties and school fundraisers that fill ʻĀhuimanu calendars, Danjah Dog brings the island street-food energy.
