Pūpūkea has two faces: the protected reef at Shark’s Cove and Three Tables, where summer snorkelers and divers drift over lava ledges, and the quiet uplands above, with acre-size home lots and Oʻahu’s largest heiau on the ridge. Divers and hosts here both end up hungry. Danjah Dog can bring Danjah Dogs, Hammah Burgahs, Cazi’s bentos and Dole Soft Serve to a Pūpūkea gathering by booking.

Out of the Water, Into the Grinds
The truck’s home base
Danjah Dog doesn’t have a North Shore spot. You’ll find the truck at the Lowes Home Improvement lot, 411 Pacific Street in Iwilei, Honolulu, Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM. For a dive-club cookout or a party at an upland home, book the truck instead.
What divers and snorkelers order
Salt water builds an appetite. Da Beer Brat ($12) and Da Original Hammah ($17) are solid after a long swim, and Cazi’s bento brings the lau lau that won First Place at the 1995 Taste of Honolulu. Cool down with Dole Soft Serve.

Reef, Ridge & Heiau: Pūpūkea Landmarks
Pūpūkea stretches along Kamehameha Highway from Waimea Bay at its southwest end, with Kawela Bay farther northeast. Offshore, the Pūpūkea Marine Life Conservation District protects the reef; inland, the land rises to residential uplands and a ridge overlooking Waimea Valley.
Kapoʻo (Shark’s Cove)
At the north end of the conservation district, a favorite snorkel and scuba site – and no sharkier than the rest of the North Shore.
Kalua o Maua (Three Tables)
Named for three flat reef sections that show at low tide, with good diving in deeper water beyond.
Pūpūkea Marine Life Conservation District
The protected waters running from Kulalua Point to the Wananapaoa Islets on the far side of Waimea Bay.
Puʻu o Mahuka Heiau State Historic Site
The largest heiau on Oʻahu, almost two acres on a ridge above Waimea Valley, open daily with no entry fee.

Answers for Pūpūkea residents, divers and North Shore hosts.
Can Danjah Dog cater a party at a Pūpūkea home?
Yes. We book the truck and drop-off catering anywhere on Oʻahu, including Pūpūkea’s upland neighborhoods. Make sure there’s space for the truck, then send us your details through the quote form.
Is there a Danjah Dog truck near Shark’s Cove?
No. Danjah Dog’s only regular stop is 411 Pacific Street in Honolulu, Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 3 PM. The truck comes to the North Shore only when booked.
Does delivery reach Pūpūkea?
Orders through DoorDash and Uber Eats come from our Honolulu truck and may not reach Pūpūkea. Check the app with your exact address before relying on it.
We’re a dive or snorkel group – what’s a good group order?
Mix Danjah Dogs ($9) and Hammah Burgahs ($9 to $15), add Cazi’s bentos for the hungriest divers, and make them combos for $3 each to include a drink and chips.
Can we book catering for a picnic at Pūpūkea Beach Park?
We cater anywhere on Oʻahu, but city beach parks set their own rules for food vendors and group use. Check with the City and County of Honolulu first, or host at a home or venue that allows food trucks.
What does Danjah Dog serve for breakfast?
Brunch sandos all day for $8, on toasted brioche with egg and cheese plus your choice of bacon, Spam, podagee sausage or luncheon meat.
