Makiki is two neighborhoods stacked on one hillside. Down low, it’s a dense mix of apartment towers, walk-ups and older homes on both sides of the H-1. Up top, the streets turn into forest roads, and trails lead into the Tantalus rainforest. Whether you’re cooking in a studio kitchen or coming down from a ridge hike, Danjah Dog makes dinner plans easy with Danjah Dogs, Hammah Burgahs and Cazi’s Hawaiian bentos.
