Salt Lake is named for a lake that isn’t there anymore. The salty pond in Āliapaʻakai crater was filled in during 1966, and in its place grew a neighborhood of condos, homes, ball fields and a golf course. Today it’s a sports-and-schools kind of place – weekend soccer, swim meets, high school games – and those crowds go through a lot of food. Danjah Dog keeps it simple and local.
